Delicate Sound of Thunder
Delicate Sound of Thunder became the first rock album to be played in space, as Soviet cosmonauts took it aboard Soyuz TM-7, leaving the cassette box on Earth to save weight. Pink Floyd were present at the launch, and audio of the launch was recorded for potential future use.
Released as a double CD, double cassette, and double LP, each format featured a slightly different trackless.
The LP didn’t include Us and Them, and the LP and cassette both had Wish You Were Here between Another Brick and Comfortably Numb.
The cover represents the two aspects of Pink Floyd live: light with the man in the lightbulb suit, and sound by the flock of birds.
